BECOME A LIFE SAVER!
We need your help! The Barrington Area United Way (BAUW) will be holding the second annual Be a Life Saver Tag Days on Friday, 10/13 and Saturday 10/14/17. Tag Days allow an opportunity for BAUW to solicit donations to support health and human services programs in CUSD 220. We plan to distribute cards highlighting the critical financial support we provide to Barrington and the surrounding communities that make up Community Unit School District (CUSD) 220. Every dollar raised by BAUW, stays in Barrington. Each year the Community Investment grants process focuses on filling the gaps identified through the Healthier Barrington Coalition Survey. Volunteers will be located throughout the downtown area to raise awareness and solicit donations. This year we’ve added BAUW aprons that will be worn by all volunteers (photo below). The addition of the aprons will reinforce BAUW branding and will enhances the safety of all volunteers. The shifts are 2 hours in length and Life Saver Tag Days will be held, come rain or shine.
Co-chairs for this event are Barrington Area United Way Board members Judy Stetson, Board Secretary (847.846.5709) and Sue Cahill-Johnson (847.975.8985). Feel free to reach out to Judy or Sue with questions.
