The 2011 -2012 BAUW Youth Board has been selected. The Youth Board is dedicated to the advancement of youth and their families within the District 220 community. These students are committed and compassionate young adults who are planting the seeds of philanthropy for the next generation. Each year, the students execute fund raising activities and determine service projects to benefit the children and families in our community. Recipients of BAUW Youth Board funds have included Barrington Giving Day and Barrington Youth and Family Services.

On Wednesday, May 4th, the BAUW Youth Board raised over $230 at the Deer Park California Pizza Kitchen. The funds will be used to support our “Barrington Lives United” Relay for Life team. Youth and adult board members, as well as agency staff and community volunteers, joined us for pizza and more. Barrington Area United Way will be participating in this year’s June 10th American Cancer Society’s Barrington Relay for Life event with 10 team members participating.
