Barrington Area United Way celebrated our 2nd Marty Rogers Memorial Golf Classic on Monday,September 12, 2011.  The event marked BAUW’s 53 years of service to the Barrington community and honored one of our past Board members, Marty Rogers, who passed away in 2010.  Over 70 golfers participated in a beautiful day of golf at Foxford Hills Golf Club, and over $11,000 were raised to support health and human service programs in our community.

“This is a wonderful way to honor Marty, an avid golfer and a passionate supporter of United Way,” said Executive Director, Leslie Luther-Jeschke.   Marty Rogers was a valued member of the BAUW Board for over 8 years and continued to serve on the Allocations Committee after his Board service.
